And of course the main character died. Though I wasn't imagining his brain exploding, but he managed to kill the bad guy first at least.
Was he thinking that he was bad also?
It seems to me he was just overrun with his thoughts (I really am bad at explaining, and these are totally not the right words, but whatever.) And obviously, he was not thinking completely straight. I wonder if he was already in pain then?
Maybe he was just saying those words to the bad guy though. I think that would be the other situation. That he managed to kill him. Before he himself died.
No offense, but I bet this was even more dramatic and everything in the original formatting in the game.

Well, I think this was mostly just like a message from the game producers or whatever. The scene basically takes place while the main character is immersed in what is basically pure evil, or something along those lines. This was also shortly after learning that everyone in the orphanage he should have grown up in had been reduced to basically nothing, kept barely alive but with their life force being continuously sucked out of them.
